Streams and Rivers

Bangladesh is a river-irrigated country and Haluaghat Upazila is not exception to this. Dorsha, Ganggina, Buraghat and Kongsho are the noticeable rivers following all the way through Haluaghat Upazila. Upazila headquarter is located at the adjacent of the Dorsha river. In the distance past, the river-way was the focal means for business and communication. A variety of fishes is caught and sells in the markets. In the boro monsoon the water of these rivers are used for irrigation.
